Update: Police confirm murder of PDP chairman by political thugs in Ebonyi

The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the homicide of the Folks’s Democratic Social gathering (PDP) Chairman in Ezza North native authorities space of the state, Peter Nweke.

LIB reported that Nweke died from accidents he sustained from assaults by suspected political thugs on Saturday in the course of the Governorship and Meeting elections.

Spokesperson of the command, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the event in an announcement on Sunday, stated Nweke was overwhelmed up and rushed to the hospital unconscious the place he was later pronounced loss of life by a physician.

The PPRO stated the Police has launched an investigation into the loss of life with a view to arresting and prosecuting anybody accountable.
