Operatives of the Amotekun Corps have arrested a 30-year-old man, Daniel Chigozie, for allegedly promoting his son to 3 completely different consumers in Ogun State.
Commandant of the Corps in Ogun State, David Akinremi, stated the safety company obtained intelligence that the daddy had serially traded his 9-month-old son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, promoting the little boy to 3 completely different consumers at completely different areas in Sango, Meiran and Apapa space of Lagos.
It was gathered that the suspect was paid N150,000, N400,000 and N700,000 respectively by unknown consumers between August 2022 and February 2023.
In keeping with Akinremi, an investigation performed by the corps revealed that the person, who’s suspected to be working with a legal syndicate had devised a way by means of which the son was retrieved from every of the consumers after every sale till he bought him to the final purchaser, one Dr. Nosa in Apapa.
The suspect, who resides at Abela, Sango-Ota, in Ado-Odo Native Authorities Space of the state, confessed to the crime.
He’s being profiled by the Nationwide Company for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Individuals (NAPTIP) for a follow-up investigation to get well the kid and for prosecution.
